M.S.Rau Antiques in New Orleans is considered by antiques experts and museum curators as one of the country's most respected dealers in 18th and 19th century antiques, fine arts and rare jewelry. A landmark destination for almost one hundred years, it opened for business in 1912 in the French Quarter on Royal Street where it is today.

M.S. Rau's sprawling gallery is bursting with rare antiques so owner Bill Rau recently expanded the gallery space and opened the new 4,500-square-foot M.S. Rau Antiques Le Salon, steps away from the original location. The sumptuous addition, located at 610 Toulouse Street, boasts two stories of a museum-like gallery space which is perfect for showcasing the exceptional fine art and antiques offered by the renowned antiques company.

Clients and guests are invited to visit Le Salon, where items such as an elaborately carved bedroom suite owned by Benito Mussolini, a Charles X billiards table made by Chevillotte of Orleans, France, an outstanding 24-light Baccarat crystal chandelier, and several grand bedroom suites beckon from four large rooms.

"We're so excited about expanding our business and increasing Rau's presence in the French Quarter, as well as around the world," noted Bill Rau, third generation owner of M.S. Rau Antiques. "The addition of Le Salon gives us the unique opportunity to display some of our finest antiques in a more home-like setting, something we think our clientele will really respond to, something we think will really interest our clientele."
