description
A truly splendid example of Victorian jewelry, this outstanding bracelet by Hunt & Roskell is a tour-de-force of 19th-century design. Bold and dynamic, this bracelet is comprised of a pierced central medallion that glows thanks to a square step-cut emerald weighing approximately 3.00 carats and approximately 1.5 total carats of Old Mine cut diamonds. A 18K gold, flexible scale link band allows this spectacular piece to be worn on the wrist, and two clasps allow the medallion to be removed and worn as a pendant or brooch. A convertible bracelet such as this was a Hunt & Roskell specialty, and to find such an incredible piece, in such wonderful condition, is quite special. Housed in original leather case.

Hunt & Roskell of New Bond Street, London were one of Europe's finest silversmithing firms. Established in 1843, this renowned firm specialized in the supply of bespoke jewelry, silver, objets d’art and trophy commissions for clients around the world. Most closely associated with Queen Victoria and the British aristocracy, for which the long-reigning queen awarded them a royal warrant, the company catered to many other members of Europe's royal and aristocratic families, and particularly enjoyed the patronage of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. They also showed off their creations at important international exhibitions, including the great "Crystal Palace" exhibition of 1851.
