    description
Attributed to Thomas Webb, this beautiful vivid green satin glass perfume flacon is characterized by the delicate air pockets that form a quilted diamond motif. The technique, known as Satin, Air Trap, Pearl Ware or Pearl Satin Ware, requires the fusion of two hand-blown forms, one enveloping the other, connected by channels that create the pockets of air. Satin glass was first created by the Venetians, but it wasn't until the late 1850s that the technique was patented in England, and later in the United States in the 1880s. A hinged lid set with a royal blue jewel completes the design of this wonderful perfume.

The bottle bears the label marked "A Genuine Antique from Maude B. Feld", a respected New York antique dealer and expert in antique glass.
