This rare Art Deco cocktail shaker by Asprey & Company of London takes the form of a weightlifter's dumbbell. The charming bar accessory unscrews at one end, revealing a strainer for easy pouring. As functional as it is charming, this shaker is a rare and nostalgic relic of the glamorous days when the cocktail reigned supreme.

An almost exact shaker is pictured on page 105 of The Cocktail Shaker: The Tanqueray Guide, 2000, by S. Khachadourian. The caption reads that the design is "Considered essential by collectors today."

The base is hallmarked "Asprey London"
