An additional dial distinguishing between moist and dry air quality further assists with weather predictions. A delicate angel adorns the face along with floral detailing.

Such meteorological instruments were once indispensable in households, particularly in agrarian regions where weather prediction was vital for crop health. While most households had a barometer on their wall, only the most important and wealthy would have had an instrument displaying such fine craftsmanship and aesthetic detail.
