This elegant, hand-painted jewelry casket is highly detailed, and features scenes of an 18th century French pastoral couple. All four sides on this beautiful box are graced with porcelain enamel panels, executed in muted shades of blue, pink and cream. A blue silk lining, pads the interior to protect precious jewels and other valuables, and the detailed ormolu mounted frame sits on scrolled feet that elegantly support the impressive hand crafted piece. Rare objets d'art such as this were created during the 18th and 19th century by highly crafted artisans for those who could afford the extravagance.
