This exuberant silver tray was crafted by the incomparable Tiffany & Co. in the widely recognized Chrysanthemum pattern, and exhibits the finest level of American silver craftsmanship. The motif's namesake flowers are expertly chased and applied around the elegantly scalloped rim. This luxurious and versatile tray truly represents the best in Tiffany artistry. During the 19th century and into the 20th century, Tiffany & Co. established itself as the leader in producing superior quality tea services and flatware sets. Without question, one of their most popular designs was the Chrysanthemum pattern created by Charles T. Grosjean in 1880. Chrysanthemum soon became the most highly prized and luxurious of all Tiffany patterns, even though it was among the most expensive to produce.
