These exquisite George IV-period wine coolers were beautifully crafted of the finest silver in Sheffield, England. The work of Thomas and John Settle, these coolers are masterpieces of Rococo design, displaying a perfectly balanced dance of seashells, scrolls, flowers and acanthus. Sheffield is known as the home of exceptional silver plate, so to find sterling silver from that renowned city, of such impeccable quality, is extremely rare. The coolers are complete with liners and rims, and are marked on the lower body. Excellent condition.
