Every inch of this outstanding oak case music box by the Regina Music Box Company of New York is enveloped with incredible carved detailing. The box plays 15 1/2" disks and retains the incredible sound quality for which Regina was celebrated. A wonderful lithograph on the interior of the lid features a representation of the company's namesake Regina, venerating her as the "Queen of Music." This lithograph is marked "Copyright 1896, by the Regina Music Box Company." The mechanism is equipped with a start/stop lever and is incised "REGINA" with the serial number "35797." This delightful music box is in excellent working condition and is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity by the Music Box Society International, stating that "Box 35797 left the factory on 8/24/1899, Style 9 Oak, Shipped to R.
