This fine Engish silver half-pint mug from the Queen Anne period bears the mark of London silversmith John Wisdome. The elegantly tapered, cylindrical form boasts a curious and marvelously detailed engraving of a Chinese gentleman in his native attire. Such an early work of English silver, especially one of this fine condition, is a true rarity.
