Parquetry and marquetry of the utmost caliber envelope the entire surface and facade of this occasional table. Geometric, three-dimensional parquetry patterns executed in varying shades of timber are intertwined with metal inlays, a technique that required tremendous skill to successfully accomplish due to the varying expansion rates of wood and metal. The top boasts two marquetry panels of birds crafted with exceptional detail. Four cabriole legs terminating in doré bronze feet give support, and a lockable side drawer adds to the functionality of this excellent table.
