This rare Tiffany favrile glass vase represents the influence of nature on Tiffany's glassworks, and the height of his achievement. With delicate details such as hollow stems and life-like leaves, these flower forms were among the most highly prized items in Tiffany's catalogue. Extremely difficult to master, they are very hard to find in such mint condition. A similar vase can be found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Similar vases are pictured in Martin Eidelberg's Tiffany Favrile Glass and the Quest of Beauty on page 44.
