This imposing ivory handled cane is not for the lighthearted. Once owned by a cardinal and member of Opus Dei, this substantial antique walking stick is covered in sharp spikes, even on the handle, to remind the user of the agony of Christ. Further penance can be made thanks to a mother-of-pearl rosary hidden in a velvet lined cavity in the handle, and the whip, with three chains ending in spiked ivory balls, kept within the shaft. Extremely rare and skillfully crafted, this antique decorative cane would make an excellent addition to any collection.
