The unbelievably rare 2.58-carat Natural Fancy Purplish-Pink diamond at the center of this ring is a true show stopper. This stunning pear-cut gem possesses the saturation and clarity to make it one of the rarest diamonds in the world. Over 130 additional brilliant white diamonds weighing 1.90 carats add a sparkling elegance to this stunning pink wonder. Pink diamonds are among the rarest of all colored diamonds. They command considerable attention on the market, especially those few that are graded as Fancy, which means they possess a fire and intensity unrivaled by any other diamond. Certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to be a Natural Purplish-Pink diamond with SI1 clarity.

Natural fancy pink diamonds are so rare that most jewelers of fine gems could go their entire careers without even seeing one, much less owning one. Once a treasure reserved solely for royalty, natural fancy pink diamonds are worth approximately 20-times more than their white diamond counterparts, and are found in only a handful of mines, with the famed Argyle mine in Australia producing around 95% of all the pink diamonds in the world. Of the 80-million carats of diamonds excavated at Argyle, a mere .001% are fancy pink, weigh less than a carat, and equate to barely enough to fill the palm of your hand. Pink diamonds have increased in value by 20% every year since 1980. In 2004, Sotheby's New York sold a 1.23-carat Purplish-Pink diamond for $143,089 carats. When calculating the yearly increase, that would make that diamond worth over $600,000 today.
