This highly important Napoleon III patinated bronze and rouge marble mantel clock by Louis-Gabriel and Achille Brocot is a work of mechanical and artistic beauty. Featuring a Brocot pin-lever escapement with ruby pallets for precise telling of time, this clock also incorporates a calendar, measuring the date and day of the week with great accuracy. This superb timepiece is distinguished by its vivid rouge marble case surmounted by a patinated bronze horse sculpture and gilt accents.
