An elegant antique American silver drinking cann by renowned colonial New York silversmith Myer Myers. The sleek baluster form bears an applied double scroll handle with an acanthus-adorned grip and is supported by an elegant stepped base. An understated and exquisite design, this important piece is one of only 380 surviving marked objects by Myers. In addition, as most of these surviving items are religious and commemorative pieces, this piece is one of Myers' few remaining early domestic items known to exist.

A similar cann is part of the Decorative Arts collection of the Brooklyn Musuem in New York.
