A monumental pair of seven-light bronze candelabra by the celebrated firm of Thomire & Cie. The classical boldness of the Louis-Philippe period aesthetic is clearly evident in these commanding pieces, as solid, patinated bronze is paired with cast gilt bronze to dramatic effect. Adorned with palmetto and anthemion accents, these candelabra beautifully exhibit the refinement of technique and the sure handling of design that was the foundation of Pierre-Philippe Thomire's success as a master artisan.
