This rare and stately pair of console tables represents a transition from the more extravagant designs of the Restoration period to the stronger and more solid style for which Louis-Philippe furniture has come to be known. The use of gray marble is characteristic of this period, as is the restrained application of bronze accents. These lovely consoles are extraordinary, and to find a pair in such excellent condition is very rare.
