This dimentutive Japanese Meiji-period lacquered boat is distinguished by its exceptional craftsmanship. The vessel exhibits a phenomenal artistry, enveloped with nashiji, hirame and kirikane decoration over the entire boat. Most likely used as an incense burner, the boat's roof and cabin separate from the hull, allowing aroma to escape and fill the air.
