This beautiful cameo lamp from the acclaimed Muller Frères glassworks is monumental both in size and artistry. The dramatic rose pattern was created with a highly specialized acid-etching technique for which this company was renowned. Established in Lunéville, France, Muller Frères consisted of a group of brothers who had all worked for Gallé company and produced superb quality cameo and acid-etched art glass. From 1905 to the 1930s, they made many luxurious glass objects in the Art Nouveau style, and their work can be compared to that of the Daum family. The brothers came from a line of glass makers, and mastered all well-known glass decorating techniques, always experimenting with new methods. They developed rapidly into a company well-renowned for their large diversity and superior quality.
