This lovely traditional German silver wedding cup takes the form of a maiden. Intricately decorated, this unique piece contains two cups, one held above the figure's head on a swivel and the other in the form of the maiden's dress. The wedding cup, also known as a "bridal" or "maiden cup," dates back to 15th-century Germany, to the town of Nuremberg, where it remains a symbol of love, faithfulness and luck. A wonderful piece for toasting a special couple! Excellent condition.
