Fashioned in the Louis XVI style, this rare swivel top sewing & worktable features a particular refined style. Entirely inlaid with exotic wood and fashioned in an elegant classical motif, the table features four tapered, radiating drawers, all retaining their original fitted interiors of pinned silk. Intricate bronzed brass accents complement the exceptional design. The overall delicate appearance makes this a most elegant and desirable table. These special tables for embroidery and needlework were introduced during the second half of the 18th century and became quite fashionable during the Victorian era.
