Luminous fluorspar set in bronze ormolu comprises this opulent pair of French urns. Styled in the Louis XV taste, the vessels beautifully exhibit this stone's violet and jade-like tones, which are also complemented by leonine doré bronze mounts. Fluorspar, a fluorescent and highly decorative mineral also known as fluorite, was first mined and used as ornament by the Romans and continues to be a desirable decorative accent.
