A delightful French figural veilleuse in the form of a nun stirring a cup of tea. These wonderful porcelain veilleuses were once used for keeping drinks and foods warm for those who were bed ridden. A similar veilleuse is pictured in Harold Newman's Veilleuses, A Collector's Guide and is part of several notable private collections, including the Broulard Collection. Excellent condition.
