This dessert plate by the Royal Copenhagen Manufactory is crafted in the famed Flora Danica pattern, and features a delicate hand-painted floral design complimented by intricate gilt accents. Johann Christoph Bayer, one of the most gifted artists of the late 18th century, first created the hand-painted floral motif accented with delicate gilding for Empress Catherine the Great of Russia. Of all the magnificent services from the 18th century, the Flora Danica porcelain service is the only one still in production. Created in what has since been named the Golden Age of porcelain, Flora Danica is today still considered one of the world´s most luxurious services.
