This rare and excellent English silver plate bun warmer boasts an impeccable shell and twig design. Featuring a beautifully repousséd floral design on its exterior, the warmer opens to reveal two pierced guards, which opened and cleverly dropped down into the warmer's center. Once a staple on Victorian tables, bun warmers are highly desirable silver-plate collectibles today. To find one in such exquisite condition is quite rare.

Marked "F.BRS S E P" possibly for the Fenton Brothers (1859- c. 1896) with a lozenge mark for January 15, 1877
