A very rare cameo vase by Gallé featuring an exuberant motif of irises set against a plum-shaded background. A scalloped rim beautifully completes this masterful Art Nouveau design. Considered one of the pioneers of Art Nouveau, Emile Gallé was renowned for his naturalistic glass artistry, and was especially influenced by flowers and vines, as evidenced in this magnificent piece.

Signed "Gallé" in cameo.
