This captivating cut glass coffee pot exemplifies the American Brilliant style. Taking an elegant, hookah-inspired form, this carafe boasts exceptional artistry, from the intricate cane and crosshatch motif to the stunning flower on the stopper and body.

In 1886, the first cut design to use a curved line was introduced in America. This greatly influenced American designs, as all previous cuttings had been in straight lines. Thus was ushered in the Brilliant Period, distinguished by curving lines and deeper, more elaborate cutting. Numerous glass makers competed in introducing and patenting new geometric designs which resulted in what is now referred to as "The American Brilliant Period."
