A gracious pair of bronze ormolu, Greco-Roman inspired urns, set upon Charles X-style stands of inlaid wood. Bronze ormolu wreath medallions finish the classical design of these rare vessels. The Charles X era is famous for the sophistication and quality of its objects, as the neoclassicism which came to the fore during the Empire period evolved during this time, becoming lighter and less severe. Pieces from this period are extremely rare and very dearly desired by collectors.
