A handsome oak sculpture of a noble Borzoi, or Russian Wolfhound, from the Black Forest region. The depth and intricacy of the carving is exquisite, a sure sign of Black Forest craftsmanship. Such an excellent figural form by this legendary group of artisans, especially one in this fine condition, is very difficult to come by and highly sought-after by collectors.
