A lovely clock pendant with diamonds and feathers by cutting-edge 20th-century Swiss watchmakers Corum. A beautiful and artistic retro necklace, this piece showcases a Swiss dial with iridescent blue peacock feathers by surrounding it in a bevy of sparkling pavé diamonds. The charm and double anchor chain, measuring 28 inches, are both made of 18K white gold. Corum introduced their "Feathered Friend" series in 1970 instantly creating a classic with the unique design, excellent detail and superior craftsmanship. A student and designer for Gucci watchmakers, Severin Wunderman started the Swiss company of Corum in 1955 and today his son Michael carries on the tradition of making quality timepieces with a daring edge.
Circa 1970
The name and logo: Corum, a name from Quorum, a word of Latin origin meaning a fixed minimum number of members whose presence is necessary to make the proceedings and decisions of an assembly or society valid. It is then said that the quorum has been reached. The symbol, an upright key decorating the dial, is reminiscent of the brand's first motto, "The key to perfect time." It evokes the precious tool that gives life to the old timekeepers. It is the symbol of the mystery and the riddle to solve.
