This rare Austrian mystery swinger clock combines superb technological virtuosity with outstanding artistry. Exhibiting a beautifully-crafted classical design, the timepiece is itself a pendulum, which oscillates slowly with evenness and regularity. Suspended from nine alternating, temperature-compensating brass and steel rods, the clock's spring-driven movement is concealed behind the porcelain dial. Roman numerals and delicate engraved decorations add to the clock's timeless elegance and sophistication. Most swinging clocks were made in Germany and the United States, so to find a rare, Austrian model is exceptional.
