Copiously carved musical and hunting elements charaterize this superior 19th-century French gilt wood mirror. The motif bears a bearded mask at the base and a crest atop, featuring a lion rampant surmounted by a crown, characteristic of the coats-of-arms of nobility. This beautiful mirror is further distinguished by its retention of its original silvered glass.
