Marcel Brunery was born in Paris to a family of artists, namely his father, the famed François Brunery. The younger Brunery followed in his father's footsteps, excelling in the portrayal of cardinals at leisure. With a remarkable level of exactness, the artist renders interiors, fabric textures and reflections with an almost photographic accuracy.
