In a town known for it's delicious seafood, it's easy to see why this young festival is one of the most popular of the year. The city's top local restaurants will be on hand serving up perennial favorites like shrimp poboys, charbroiled oysters, crawfish pie and seafood gumbo. Once you've satisfied your appetite kick back for a sampling of the area's hottest music and most talented artists.

The 6th Annual New Orleans Seafood Festival will be held in Lafayette Square in early September. This free venue also offers guests cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs from some of the top names in New Orleans dining.

Proceeds from the festival benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.
