An outstanding Moser glass box, crafted of the signature cranberry glass and richly adorned with the intricate enamel decoration for which that company is so renowned. Designed in a casket form, this container is mounted with fine gilt bronze which features a beautifully engraved hinge and lock; delicate beaded ring handles complete the elegant motif. Established in 1857, Moser soon earned a worldwide reputation for high quality workmanship and artistry, exhibiting at various world expositions and garnering a number of awards. Often referred to as "The Glass of Kings," Moser served as the Court Purveyor to Kaiser Franz Joseph I, King Edward VII, and the Shah of Persia.
