An important 244-piece flatware service by Tiffany in the exceptional Alianthuspattern. One of Tiffany’s most naturalistic designs, Alianthus celebrates the Alianthus altissima, also known as the Chinese-native “Tree of Heaven” plant. Patented in 1899 by Burnett Y. Tiffany, this pattern’s lush and exotic leaf clusters compose the shape of the handles in an elegant yet casual motif. Also called Atlantas and B. Tiffany, this pattern is one of Tiffany’s rarest, and it is one of the three most popular designs the company ever sold.
The set is housed in its original, velvet-lined case, with the interior lid and lock both stamped “Tiffany & Co.” All pieces are also marked.
