This exceptional Russian silver cigarette case is richly decorated with a colorful and intricate floral design executed in shaded enamel. Complementing the jewel tones of the enamel is an amethyst cabochon thumb latch set in gilded silver. Russian cloisonné, such as this from the Czarist era, is highly prized by collectors. Crafted by Nikolai Alekseev, this case features sterling marks on the interior rim.
