These lovely sugar baskets by the inimitable Hester Bateman are crafted to perfect proportions. Set upon graceful pedestals, the boat-shaped baskets feature identical handles and monograms, as well as Bateman's characteristic delicate bright-cut engraving. Sugar baskets such as these were not produced in great quantity in London. To find a pair crafted by one of history’s most celebrated silversmiths is outstanding.
