This graceful chandelier features five hanging lilies of irisescent gold created by Steuben Glass Works, an American art glass manufacturer founded in 1903 by Frederick C. Carder and Thomas G. Hawkes in Corning, New York. A beautiful example of the extremley popular Art Nouveau style in America, this chandelier boasts elegant, curvalinear lines derived from the natural world. This style done in iridized colors of gold and blue by Steuben is known as Aurene. Gold Aurene was the first decorative iridescent glass made at Steuben, and was produced from 1905 through 1930.
