This beautiful rock crystal glass center vase by master engraver William Fritsche features an engraved design of flowers and vegetation. Considered by many to be the greatest of the Bohemian engravers working in England or America, Fritsche worked in the classical style, engraving naturalistic and figurative subjects for Thomas Webb during the 1870s. Along with Webb, he pioneered the style of decoration known as rock-crystal engraving, and his work was exhibited at the 1878 Paris Exhibition. Features etched signature "WFritsche." 8" h x 9" dia.
