A rare and remarkable cameo glass vase from the preeminent Daum Nancy factory. Unlike the standard acid-cut work that the factory produced, this lovely piece was crafted using wheel engraving, giving it a "hammered" appearance. Daum artisans where extremely gifted in wheel engraving, yet used the method very rarely. Very few pieces of this quality would have been produced, serving as models for industrial production. Unique, hand-crafted vases such as this are dearly sought by collectors all over the world. Engraved and gold gilt "Daum Nancy" signature, and the cross of Lorraine on the bottom of the base.
