This magnificent silver plate candelabra, by the acclaimed Elkington, Mason and Co., masters of silver plating, celebrates the fruits of the harvest. Intricately decorated arms form a grape vine canopy laden with fruit, under which three pastoral figures dance upon a triangular base. Such a phenomenal creation would only have been crafted for the most prominent patron, and is a testament to the level of mastery that Elkington achieved. The crest, motto, and coat-of-arms of the Scottish family of MacKay grace the pedestal, as does the monogram GBA. Features maker's marks E&Co. (below crown), E, M, &Co., 6.
