In this remarkable cane by Carl Fabergé, a bezel set cabochon ruby sits atop a ribbed bowenite handle. Gold laurel is applied over a pink guilloché enamel collar in a trellis-work pattern, with rose and yellow gold forget-me-not accents and a gold laurel engraving bordering the collar. Fabergé's characteristic sense of luxury shines through this exquisite walking stick. This cane contains the marks "56 AP", indicating the St. Petersberg assayer Alexander Romanov, Hall Inspector from 1899 - 1908, and the gold weight of 56 zolotnicks, or 14 carats.
36 ½" long
Hallmarked circa 1905
