This mirror is an important example of continental silver created by J.C. Klinkosch, Imperial Silversmith to Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. The mirror is beautifully crafted in the rococo and bears the crest, coat of arms and coronet of Prince Maximilian Egon II of Fürstenburg and his wife née Countess Emma Schonborn-Buccheim. Klinkosch fulfilled numerous commissions for the Austrian Royal Family and is regarded among the finest Austrian silversmiths of the late 19th century.
