A rare and impressive 18th-century George II sterling epergne with five finely pierced baskets bearing the coat of arms of Richard, 3rd Viscount Powerscourt (1730-1788). The epergne retains its original baskets and exhibits exceptional quality chasing throughout the base. Considered among the rarest of silver works, a wonderful epergne of such outstanding quality and aristocratic provenance is extremely rare. It is one of the finest George II epergnes on the market.
