?Crafted by celebrated English silversmith Robert Garrard, this unique and rare George III-period vessel, known as an Argyle, was created to keep gravy, hot milk, coffee and tea warm at the dinner table. The pot has two detachable lids, the inner one topping a central compartment for holding the hot water used to keep the outer liquid warm. Beautifully adorned with a polished S-shaped wooden handle, the classic design has wonderful gadrooning on the rim and base.
