An outstanding George III mahogany sideboard distinguished by its refined design, grand scale and elegant proportion. The sideboard is masterfully detailed with intricate satinwood inlay and a frieze on the center drawer in classical motif. The center drawer displays a partial paper label with the coat-of-arms of the British Royal Family and the crest of the Prince of Wales is displayed on the brass hardware and carved into the sideboard itself. A piece showcasing such commanding qualities was unquestionably created for someone of great importance, if not for a member of the Royal Family itself.
