A rare and elegantly woven 16th-century tapestry hailing from the Marche province of central France. Entitled “The Ostrich Hunt,” the tapestry depicts equestrian huntsmen brandishing guns, swords and spears in pursuit of two ostriches. The detailing of this work is simply incredible, from the expressions of the huntsmen’s hounds to the landscape and border adorned with exotic foliage and wildlife.
