An alluring and rare combination of guilloche and matte enamel distinguishes this extraordinary Faberge cane by Henrik WigstrÖm (1862-1923), who served as the head of the famed Russian workshop from 1903-1917. The top of the cane is mounted with a lovely Russian rose-cut diamond and the elegant 14K gold is beautifully worked into a leaf design. WigstrÖm was a favorite of Karl Fabergé, for he personally appointed him the head of his St. Petersburg workshop. WigstrÖm was allocated some of the most exacting commissions and important pieces for the Imperial family, including a majority of the famed Imperial Easter eggs. Signed 'H.W.' and marked with the 56 zolotnik gold mark (14K gold).
